I finished The Storyteller: Tales Out of Loneliness.
This book really should have been more clearly described as an oddball collection of ephemera and unpublished drafts and scraps. Despite the subtitle promising “stories,” this collection runs the gamut from brief reviews to a few lines recalling a dream. There are at least as many half-formed thoughts as well-worded insights. It was a mistake to make this my first exposure to Benjamin, but understanding what it is, I’m willing to read more.
